sonic and shadow

CHAPTER:1

one day, sonic was bored. he took a run in station square. then he heard something like an explosion.
"man..i've fought eggman too many times! now im hearing one of his robots explode!"
sonic thought to himself..little did he know that this 'explosion' would change his life forever. sonic had awaken from his dreamless slumber.
"i need some fresh air." he sighed to himself.
he looked at the clock before he left. it said 1:47 am. he had taken a run in the park. he stopped to take a look at the stars. he sighed and said
"this is too romantic for someone like me. someone who will never be seen as more then a hero and never find true love" just then he heard a faint moaning noise. as if someone needed help. then it went dead silent.
"what the hell was that?"
sonic asked himself looking in the dark. he saw a faint figure in the dark. something was telling him he needed to take the figure.
"what am i gonna do? say hey tails! i've a question for you. i found this, this morning. Can we keep him?!!!?!? PLEASE!!??.....well.we'll see what happens. i better get him home quick before he dies!"
while running in the dark he was able to see that it was some kind of hedgehog. when he got to the house, he pulled out a first aid kit from the bathroom counter. he took a wet rag and started to clean off the hedgehog. when he finished he saw that the hedgehog was black with crimson streaks on his arms, legs and quills. his torso was full of white fur. he also noticed that the hedgehog was burned and bruised. he took some bandages, some stuff to cool the burns and ice for the bruises. after sonic had bandeged up the black and crimson hedgehog, he put him in his bed. then he went to make something to eat.

~~~~~~~~~~~5 days later!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"ugh...my head."
the figure said slowly waking up. he looked around and saw an azure hedgehog sleeping on a chair. when sonic heard the hedgehog talking, he woke up quickly.
"well hello there sleeping beauty!" he said quietly not trying to give his patient a headache.
"where am i?"
"your in my room, in my bed." sonic said with a grin.
"how long have i been out?!"
"a few days..why?"
"A FEW DAYS!?!?! I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!!!!"
"oh no you dont! said sonic quickly. "your not going anywhere untill you are fully healed at the least."
"but i don't want you to get hurt. you have already helped too much."
the black hedgehog stopeed dead when finished after he realized what he had just said.
"and what dare i ask..will hurt me?" sonic asked happily.
"i can't tell you..not now...not ever." "and why is that?"
"if you knew certain things.."
then he started to cry quietly putting his head to his knees



CHAPTER:2

"please...stop crying...come here.." sonic said innocently
the hedgehog didnt budge so sonic went to him...
"why does this creature care for me so much? he acts like we've known each other all of our lives..and yet we have just met....." the hedgehog thought to himself...
"feel better?" sonic asked..
the crimson and black hedgehog said
"look into my eyes and see for yourself.."
sonic did as he was told and didnt like what he saw....he saw hate..anger...disgust...pain..sorrow...sadness...and revenge.....sonic looked scared and confused.
"you wanna talk yet?"
"why would i tell you what happened?? i don'y even know you name!!!" he snapped
"oh..im sorry...i'm sonic.....sonic the hedgehog...and you are?"
"im shadow.." he sighed..
"you want something to eat?"
shadow shook his head yes and said...
"as long as it's not what i used to eat"
"THEN CHILLY DOGS IT IS THEN!!!" sonic yelled...
shadow looked at him confused and said ...
"chilly dogs? what are thoese?"
"YOU NEVER HEARD OF A CHILLY DOG!?!?! THEY ARE THE BEST THING IN THE UNIVESE!!!! WHAT DID THEY FEED YOU?!? DOG FOOD!?!" sonic yelled suprised at shadows question..
shadow looked at him confused again and said ....
"dog foo...."
sonic put his hand up while shadow was talking..he was shaking his head as he prepared their meals... after 20 minutes or so sonic came out with 2 chilly dogs and 2 sodas on a try...shadow eyed them oddly as if they were poison..
"just try it...there good...trust me.." sonic said smiling..
shadow took a bite then said sadly...
"these are alot better then my food....sorry i din't beleive you...."
"don't worry about it....what DID they feed you?" sonic asked
"must i tell?"
"yes"
"they fed me this weird smelling jelloy stuff....they said it had all the nutrients and minerals my body needed...they didnt care about it's taste and shape...all they cared about was me eating it..."
"that sucks!"
"tell me about it.."
"you wanna go for a run? it always helps me feel better.."
"fine.."
before they left.....sonic told shadow to follow him. sonic said ok. they stopped at a beach...it was sunset so it made the water look prettier... shadow just stood there wide-eyed..
"i guess you like...huh?"
shadow LITEARLLY collapsed.....sonic started to laugh his ass off... the shadow felt the blood rush to his head and somehow instinctivley, he hid his face from the azure hedgehog..
"whats going on with me? why do i feel like this?" shadow thought to himself..
before shadow's face went back to normall, sonic finished laughing....
"you ok buddy?" sonic said..
by then, shadows face had turned back to normall....
"lets go back to the house...i'm kind of tired....." shadow said..
they went back to the house and hung out in the bedroom (nothing happens yet...thats in like....too many chapters to count..sorry..it's SO worth it though)
"sonic.....?"
"yes?"
"i wanna tell you something..but you can't tell anyone else...i feel like i can trust you.."
"sure shads..what ever you want.."
"shads?"
"you don't like it?"
"no no..i do... just..no one ever called me that before... anyway..i was umm.....CREATED on the space colony ark....which makes me about 50 years old. i was put into a giant freezer..i was only thawed about 1 year ago.."
there was a moment of scilence....then the front door swung open and both hedghogs jumped in fright. a twin taild orange fox apperared...
"HEY sonic!"
"oh it's you! hey tails!"
"who's that" asked shadow
"my friend...one sec.."
"the patient awake yet?!"
"yea come on in!"
the twin tailed fox did as he was told.
"tails, shadow...shadow, tails"
"hi! nice to see your awake and well!"
"yea me too..."
"tails...we should all go to bed! we might do something tomarrow..not sure yet though......"
"ok sonic! goodnight everyone!"
"night!" they both yelled....
"sonic, what ARE we doing tommarow...?"
"like i told you, i don't know! we gotta make sure your FULLY healed...you can sleep in my bed.."
"are you sure?"
"yea! no prblems...i'll sleep on the chair.."
"ok sonic.. whatever you want!"
shadow got under the covers and sonic went on the chair.. shadow had one last thing to say...
"he sonic?"
"mmm?"
"thanks for all your doing!"
"anytime.."
they both fell asleep.. unfortunately shadow was unaware of the horrible night that was about to come!



CHAPTER:3

[dream] shadow saw sonic walking in the woods... "HEY SONIC!" yelled shadow.. "HEY SHADOW!" yelled sonic... as shadow was running over to sonic he heard something move amongst the trees..."oh no" shadow thought to himself.... "SONIC!!! GET OUT OF HERE!" shadow yelled.. "why?" "IF YOU DON'T, YOU'LL DIE!" "and what will kill me??" just then something black jumped out of the trees..it was formless, so it looked like a giant blob of nothingness... it took hold of sonic, then it took the form of a giant snake and started to squeeze the life out of him...."sonic!" cried shadow. whatever shadow tried to do, he couln't get sonic out of 'it's' grasp. it just squeezed sonic harder ever minute or so. after about an hour, shadow had had enough.."why the hell are you doing this?!? why are you playing games!?!?!" then the 'snake' gave one final squeeze and dropped sonic. it went back to it's nothingness shape and went back into the forest. when shadow was able to get to sonic. it was too late. sonic only had a few breaths left and one thing to say.. "i...i..i love..you.." and with that, sonic had died... "NO! please...don't die...sonic!" yelled shadow as he fell to his knees..."sonic...i..i..." shadow said as he was crying. then he was swept into darkness... [end dream] shadow was still in his 'dream world' when sonic had woken up. he heard AND saw everything that happend to shadow.. when shadow had said "NO! please...don't die...sonic!" sonic said 'ok! time to get up!" and started to push shadwo trying to wake him up. sahdow wouldn't move so sonic had to think. after 2 minutes he came up with an idea. he took some ice cubes from the freezer and stuck them under shadow. "AHH" yelled shadow as he fell off the bed. sonic started to laugh so hard he was rolling around on the floor. shadow was not happy.. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR!?!?!?!" growled shadow. when sonic finally stopped laughing and got back on his feet, he said "you know you talk in your sleep right? you also cry too.." shadow froze with that..then scardley said "a..and?"
"shadow, what happend? why were you calling my name and crying?" "I WAS NOT!" shadow said trying to defend himself. "oh really?" sonic said pointing to the tear stained pillow. "fine...." then shadow explained the dream to sonic. except when sonic told shadow he loved him. that would have been a little too awkward..then there was a moment at scilence. shadow finally said..."you remember when i first came and said i didn't want you to get hurt?" "...yea.." sonic said as he was unhappy in where this was going.. "well, thats why i wanted to leave. sonic, when i have a nightmare sometimes they come true..." "SOMETIMES..not all the time..don't worry shadow...we'll make it through with no problem..." "rriigghhhtt.....lets just go back to sleep..." "ok!" sonic said as he yawned.... they went back to sleep..

shadow woke up to a delicouse smell. he quietly got up trying not to wake the other hedgehog and started to follow the smell..when he found where it was comming from, he saw tails at the stove...tails noticed shadow standing there...."hey shadow! you hungry?" "hi tails..umm...sure! anything i can help you with?" "could you set the table? the plates and cups are in that cabinet and the silverware is in that drawer.." tails said pointing to a cabinet and drawer to the left of him..then he put some eggs, toast and bacon on the table after it was set...."what it this?" shadow asked.. "you've never eaten this?? it's one of my favorites! the best meal! eggs, toast and bacon...!!!" tails yelled happily..."want me to go and get sonic?" shadow asked politely.. "sure! he might be hard to wake so take this..." tails gave shadow a bull horn. shadow smiled and walked away.when he got to the room, he saw sonic on his side.. he pushed the azure hedgehog lightly but got no response..so he decided to have some fun with the horn.. he yelled out to tails to hold his ears, then pushed the button and hard as he could in sonic's ear. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" sonic yelled as he stumbled off of the chair... "breakfast it ready!" shadow said with a smile and walked away...sonic was grumbeling something under his breath. when he went into the kitch and sat down, he said to tails "you put him up to that..didnt you?" tails just smiled as he reached for a piece of bacon. after they ate and cleaned up, sonic thought of a great idea...he tails..wanna take shadow into SS?" "sure!" then sonic smiled as he walked over to shadow.. "hey shads?" "hmm?" "wanna go into the city?" "umm..sure!" "ok..we better leave soon..it takes us a while to get there scince were on this island.." "why dont we just chaos control?" "whats that?" tails interupted... "here..i'll show you...whats the city like?" they explained him what was in the city...then they noticed light energy growing in his hand.. then he yelled "CHAOS CONTROL!"
